How Fitting in Adventure Began

Rewind a few decades to sometime in the early 80s, I loved to read.  To say I read a lot would be an understatement. One teacher’s desire to keep me occupied led to her handing me college-level history books and in doing so she awakened my inner wanderlust.  Fast forward to adulthood and life delayed my travels until I met the perfect adventure and life partner!

Both Vince and I, well let’s just say, delayed the life we wanted to live until 2014. That was when we met and truly started living again.  We had both dreamt of travel. Vince was in the Air Force and on our first date told me he had been the places no one wants to go and was ready to see the rest. Cupid shot his arrow and the rest is history.  Well, maybe it took a little longer. We got engaged the next year and married the following. While some may still call us newlyweds, it feels like it is what was always meant to be for us.

During the first two years of marriage we saw eight countries, four cruises, and 19 states plus countless day trips from our home in Las Vegas, Nevada. People began to ask how we did it all.  People began to ask if they could purchase our photos. People began to ask if I was writing another book. It still did not hit me that I should launch a site until we were standing on the mountainside in Delphi, Greece. I have spent years building platforms for businesses and it was time for me to build a site I love about the thing we love to do most! We joke that it must have been the Oracle of Delphi leading us to this site.

Showcase that an adventurous life doesn’t have to mean expensive trips that begin with passport stamps (although we love those too). You can find an adventure to feed your soul nearby too!
